Nepalese lose two places in ICC T20 rankings

Nepal have suffered a double blow after their loss to the UAE in the ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier.

The Nepalese team has been ruled out of the T20 World Cup game to be held in Australia this year. And Nepal also slipped two places in the latest ICC rankings.

Nepal lost to UAE in the first semi-final of the ICC World Cup Qualifiers. UAE won the toss and batted first and scored 175 runs. In response, Nepal’s team could score only 107 runs in 18.4 overs for the loss of all wickets.

Ireland defeated Oman in the second semi-final to become the second team to play the World Cup from the qualifiers. Ireland beat Oman by 56 runs.

Nepal had reached the semi-finals by winning all their matches in the group stage but were defeated in important matches like semi-finals. Now Nepal’s game will be with the organizer Oman for the third place.
