Whatmore send his resignation on Friday (August 27) to CAN. In a letter addressed to the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), Whatmore said that he would like to step down from the post after the conclusion of the World Cup qualifiers on September 19.

Whatmore was appointed head coach of Nepal for one year in December last year. He has four months left in his term.

During Whatmore’s tenure, Nepal participated in only one competition. In the T20 Internationals played against the Netherlands and Malaysia in April this year, Nepal had won the title with an excellent performance.
