Chasing CSK’s 218/4 in 20 over, MI reached 219 for 6 in 20 overs, with Pollard sealing the game on the last ball of the match. Kieron Pollard  was unbeaten after scoring 87 runs off 34 balls, packed with six fours and eight sixes. reached this season’s fastest half-century, in only 17 balls.

MI also got a fine start, with Quinton de Kock and Rohit Sharma scoring 38 and 35 runs respectively. Krunal Pandya also made a noteworthy contribution with 32 runs. Sam Curran took three wickets for Chennai, while Shardul Thakur, Ravindra Jadeja and Moeen Ali got a wicket each. Earlier, CSK scored 218 for 4 in 20 overs, helped by an unbeaten 72-run knock by Ambati Rayudu.

CSK had good batting performances with Faf du Plessis and Moeen Ali getting half-centuries. Pollard was also in fine form with the ball, taking two wickets in two overs for MI. Meanwhile, Trent Boult and Jasprit Bumrah got a wicket each for MI.
