Nepal has taken a 2-0 lead in the three matches ODI cricket series against Canada. In the ongoing match in Kathmandu, Sanibar won the series on the basis of captain Rohit’s all-round performance in the second match of the series. Nepal captain is in amazing form. Rohit was the player of the match in both the games, taking 4 wickets in the first game and 2 wickets in the second game.
Akash Chand, who performed well in the Under-19 World Cup, got a chance in the senior team for the first time. He took one wicket after spending 31 runs in 5 overs. Akash had taken 5 wickets against Afghanistan in the Under-19 World Cup and Nepal had won that match.
In this series, Nepal is trying its bench strength. In the second match, Anil Shah scored a half-century in 20 balls. Anil has become the player to score the fastest half-century for Nepal in One Day International.
The third and final game of the series will take place on Monday, February 12. Nepal will aim to defeat Canada 3-0. And Canada would like to win the last match of this series.
