Malla and Bhandari had scored the 5th highest run partnership for Nepal against UAE at the ICC Academy Duhai. It is also the biggest opening partnership for Nepal. On 26 January 2019, Malla scored 44 runs against UAE and Bhandari scored 21 runs. Nepal made 242 for 9 in 50 overs. In the run chase, UAE were all out for 97 in 19.3 overs. Nepal won the match by 145 runs.
