Nepali women’s cricket team defeated Qatar women’s cricket team by a huge margin of 119 runs in the first T20 International match.
Qatar won the toss and elected to field. Nepal scored 146 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 20 overs. For Nepal, Indu Barma played an excellent 55-run half-century innings, while Sita Rana Magar scored 39 runs.
For Qatar, Angeline Mare and Sabeeja Panayan had one success each.
In reply to Nepal’s target of 147 runs, Qatar lost all their wickets in 11.5 overs and added only 27 runs. None of Qatar’s batter were able to score double figures.
Rubina Chhetri took 3 wickets, Kabita Kunwar 2 wickets, Sita Rana Magar 2 wickets and Karuna Bhandari 1 wicket for Nepal. Two other Qatari players were run out.
The second match between Nepal and Qatar will be played tomorrow 17th November and the third match will be played on November 18 2021.
