No team showed interest in bringing in Nepal captain Sandeep Lamichhane in the IPL 2022 mega-action. No team showed any interest in Sandeep even on the second day of the mega action.
Sandeep’s name came at last on the first day of IPL auction. But no team was ready to buy him. Although 15 Nepalese players registered for the action, only Sandeep’s name was included in the final list of the auction.
Sandeep, who did not feature in any IPL team last season, was associated with Delhi Capitals for three seasons before that. The minimum price of Sandeep in the auction is 40 Lakh Bharu (64 Lakh Nepalese ). Sandeep is included in the Associate Player category.
Sandeep played nine games for Delhi in the first two seasons but did not get a chance in any game in the third season.
The 10 franchise teams in IPL are Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, Kolkata Knight Riders, Lucknow Super Giants, Mumbai Indians, Punjab Kings, Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gujarat Titans.
Ishan Kisan has become the most expensive player of this season. He has been included in the team of Mumbai Indians by bidding Rs 15.5 crore. Similarly, Deepak Chahar has been recruited by Chennai Super Kings for Rs 14 crore.
Shreyas Iyer has been recruited by Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs 12.5 crore.
