The games of the second phase of IPL 2021 are starting from September 19. The first match will be played on September 19 in the UAE between former champions Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced this.
The 14th edition of the IPL was postponed in May this year due to the corona virus. The second phase of IPL will have a total of 31 matches in 27 days. There will be 13 games in Dubai, 10 in Sharjah and eight in Abu Dhabi.
The final match of the group stage will be played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capital on October 8. The first qualifier after the group stage will be on October 10 in Dubai. The Eliminator and Qualifier 2 will be held in Sharjah on October 11 and 13, respectively. The final will be played on October 15 in Dubai.
