New Road Team ( NRT ) contracts 2 foreign players

Kathmandu’s old football club (NRT) has signed two foreign players for the Martyrs’ Memorial A Division League to be held from the first week of September.

NRT has organized a program in the Kathmandu and signed a contract for a different format of the league starting from September 19. The club has signed players Masuke Olumo and Stephen Samir. The club has signed two foreign players for 10 months. As soon as the agreement is signed, the two players will play in the A Division League for NRT .

The new format of the A Division League will be a single round game at the beginning of this edition. The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has made provision for the top eight teams to play in the league again for the title in the second round.

Coach Raju Kaji Shakya said that the contract of the new foreign player encouraged the team. Shakya said that NRT will compete with the goal of lifting the title.

The NRT has signed with two players under the provision of four foreign players. Midfielder Mosuke and forward Stephen played for Nepal Super League (NSL) Kathmandu Razors FC.

Kathmandu Razors had lifted the title from their performance. Mosuke was NSL’s top scorer.

The club has 12 old players now. NRT has allocated around Rs 16 million for the league.

Fourteen clubs including three departmental teams are competing in the Martyrs’ Memorial A Division League. Satdobato Youth Club, which was promoted from B Division League in the league, will compete in A Division League while Saraswati, who finished the league at the bottom of the league, will not be there this season.
