It has been decided to reschedule the much-awaited Nepal T-20 League franchise tournament organized by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN).
Can’s president Chatur Bahadur Chand told that the tournament will not be held on the pre-scheduled date of Friday because Seven Three Sports, which has the right to conduct the competition from CAN, has not completed the necessary preparations.
There was a delay in the labor acceptance process of the players. Necessary preparations are also slow. “Chand said,” We are discussing that the competition can be extended by a day/two.
Chairman Chand also said that if the competition cannot be organized on this date, CAN itself will cancel the contract with the company that has the right to operate.
This is the third time the schedule of the tournament will be pushed forward. The first edition of this tournament will be held with the participation of 6 franchise teams.
CAN had tied up with Seven Three Sports three years ago to operate the tournament. Meanwhile, even though the player auction took place last year, the competition was becoming uncertain.
