In a landmark moment for Nepali cricket, former South African captain and international cricket legend Faf du Plessis has signed with Biratnagar Kings for the upcoming Nepal Premier League (NPL) 2025. The arrival of the 41-year-old batting legend represents one of the most significant signings in the league’s history and is expected to bring unprecedented star power to the tournament, scheduled to be held from November 17 to December 13, 2025.

Du Plessis will don the Biratnagar Kings jersey alongside Nepal’s spin wizard captain Sandeep Lamichhane in the second edition of the Nepal Premier League. His presence is anticipated to significantly enhance the profile of the league and provide invaluable mentorship to Nepal’s emerging cricket talent.
