Nepal Announce Balanced Squad for ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026

The Cricket Association of Nepal has announced a 15-member squad for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026.

The team will be led by Rohit Paudel, who continues as captain. The selectors have shown trust in experienced players to keep the team stable and competitive. Dipendra Singh Airee has been named vice-captain and will play a key role as an all-rounder.

Nepal’s bowling attack includes Sandeep Lamichhane, along with Sompal Kami, Karan KC, Lalit Rajbanshi, and Nandan Yadav. These bowlers give the team good options in both pace and spin. Gulsan Jha and Aarif Sheikh will support the team as medium-pace all-rounders. Spin all-round options include Dipendra Singh Airee, Rohit Paudel, Kushal Bhurtel, and Basir Ahamad.

In batting, openers Kushal Bhurtel and Aasif Sheikh are expected to give the team a strong start. The middle order includes Rohit Paudel, Sandeep Jora, and Aarif Sheikh, who will help keep the run rate steady. At the end of the innings, Gulsan Jha, Dipendra Singh Airee, and Lokesh Bam will be responsible for finishing games.
