Mohammad Taha, the goalkeeper of Dhangadhi FC, has made the team reach the finals of 2023 with a very impressive performance. He has saved his team many times by making excellent saves. Dhangadhi has secured the final in Nepal Super League (NSL) football on Monday by Taha’s excellent performance.
Dhangadhi beat Pokhara Thunders 4-3 in a penalty shootout at Dasharath Stadium. Dhangadhi is going to play the NSL final for the second season in a row. Despite falling behind 3 times in the game with 90 minutes, extra 30 minutes and penalty shootout, Dhangadhi managed to reverse the result.
The scheduled 90-minute very exciting match ended in a 1-1 draw. At the end of the first half of the extra 30-minute game, Franklin Talla gave Pokhara the lead when Taha could not grip the ball.
Ayush gave Pokhara the lead in the sixth minute of the match. Ayush scored by ‘tapping’ on the backheel of Stephan Kojo on Moses’ cross. In the 54th minute, Devendra equalized for Dhangadhi.
Pokhara and Dhangadhi faced each other in Qualifier 1 after finishing in the top two positions from the league stage. The last match of the league stage between these two on Friday ended in a 1-1 draw. Pokhara’s chances of reaching the final are not over yet.
